Basketball Recap: Salem Christian School Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Salem Christian School extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were outmatched by the Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles and fell 74-26. The Defenders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

When it comes to explaining why Salem Christian School lost, don't look at Parker Copeland. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. That was a full 53.8% of the Defenders' points, marking the third time in a row Copeland has had more than a third of the team's points.

As for Sheets Memorial Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season.

Finn Everhart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 27 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Sheets Memorial Christian's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Howell, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 steals.
