Eisenhower had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt San Gorgonio on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Spartans. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Eric Gutierrez and Frank Ruiz dominated on the mound. Gutierrez tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Ruiz pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ruiz has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emilio Villalpando was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Denzel Sahagun, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Eisenhower always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Eisenhower back to even at 8-8. As for San Gorgonio, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Eisenhower wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-5 win against Carter on the 14th. As for San Gorgonio, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Indian Springs on the 12th.
