Baseball Game Preview: Farmington River Hawks vs. Bristol Eastern Lancers

The Farmington River Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Bristol Eastern Lancers at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Farmington is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Farmington came up short against Tolland and fell 10-5.

Juan Bisono was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tyler Perin, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern came up short against East Catholic on Wednesday, falling 13-3. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Farmington's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bristol Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Farmington might still be hurting after the 16-7 loss they got from Bristol Eastern in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the River Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
