Volleyball Recap: Wakefield Comes Up Short

Wakefield came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Falls Lake Firebirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-9, 25-12.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Falls Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Wakefield is taking a road trip to square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falls Lake, they will host Henderson Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Firebirds' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
