Softball Recap: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Westfield Wolverines        
        
		
            
 Bloomfield had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Westfield Wolverines onto the board and left with  a   2-0  win  on Friday. Bloomfield's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a  run in their last three  contests.
 Not much got past  Ashlyn Wright, who gave up just  four  hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Westfield off the board. Wright has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Calla McCombs was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Bloomfield has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 14 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record  this season. As for Westfield, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
 Bloomfield will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against Pine Plains at 7:30  p.m. Bloomfield's pitching crew has only allowed 0.9  runs per game  this season, so Pine Plains' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
