Hamburg and Northern Lebanon are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Hamburg Hawks will be playing at home against the Northern Lebanon Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Hamburg beat Pequea Valley 11-8.

Ricky Clark was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Tyler Shuey, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Northern Lebanon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Lebanon. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Cedars: they've now won seven in a row.

Brian Bicksler was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor Stoltz, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Riley Messinger was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Northern Lebanon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lebanon only managed three hits.
