Christian Brothers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They blew past the De Smet Jesuit Spartans 9-3. That's more bragging rights for the Cadets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Michael Sievers looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on GT Taylor, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Reed Hunter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Christian Brothers' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for De Smet Jesuit, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
