Basketball Recap: Kolbe-Cathedral Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 79-75 to the Fairfield Prep Jesuits. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kolbe-Cathedral's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Fairfield Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Kolbe-Cathedral and Fairfield Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings. Kolbe-Cathedral (ranked 43rd) will meet New Milford (ranked 132nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fairfield Prep will square off against Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 57 places (35 vs. 92).
