Soccer Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss

Horizon came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Rock Canyon Jaguars, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Horizon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Rock Canyon are ranked fifth).

Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-2. As for Rock Canyon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Horizon didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Boulder on the 6th. As for Rock Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Grandview on the 6th.
