Basketball Recap: Alchesay Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Alchesay extended their home winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Micah Yazzie. The Alchesay Falcons secured a 62-58 W over the Show Low Cougars on Tuesday thanks in part to Yazzie, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Max Antonio, who posted four points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Alchesay's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Show Low, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Alchesay will be playing in front of their home fans against Snowflake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Alchesay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season. As for Show Low, they will venture away from home to face off against Monument Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Show Low knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Monument Valley likes a good challenge.
