Jordan Bustamante, Vela's leading rebounder, solidified his role on Tuesday. Bustamante shot 5-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds. The performance marked the most boards he has had since back in December of 2024. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games he's played.

Looking ahead, Bustamante and Vela will face off against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Bustamante up against the Eagles' star point guard Jeremiah Moynihan. With so much talent on the court, fans are surely in for an exciting game.
