Basketball Recap: Pine Ridge Comes Up Short at Home Against Deltona

Pine Ridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 64-46 bruising from the Deltona Wolves on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost eight in a row.

Frantashia Williams was the offensive standout of the matchup as she posted 33 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Assent, who scored 14 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pine Ridge will venture away from home to face off against Edgewater at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Deltona, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oviedo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
