Basketball Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

The Palmyra Panthers came up short against the Wahoo Warriors on Tuesday, falling 61-35. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wahoo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Erin Golladay, who went 5-for-6 on her way to 14 points. Golladay continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wesley, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 10 points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Palmyra's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Wahoo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Palmyra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahoo, they have already played their next game, a 29-27 defeat against Raymond Central on the 20th.
