Basketball Game Preview: Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

Coldspring-Oakhurst is 2-8 against Anderson-Shiro since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans will square off against the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Coldspring-Oakhurst strolled past Onalaska with points to spare, taking the game 44-27.

New Waverly typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Anderson-Shiro proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fighting Owls have posted against the Bulldogs since February 4, 2022.

Anderson-Shiro is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coldspring-Oakhurst was able to grind out a solid victory over Anderson-Shiro in their previous meeting on January 10th, winning 46-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coldspring-Oakhurst since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
