Basketball Recap: Pieper Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hays

It's playoff time, and Pieper had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 39-35 W over the Hays Hawks on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Pieper got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Dixon out in front who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Dixon now owns an excellent 45.3% field goal percentage. Alisha Peavy was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Pieper smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive contests.

Pieper's win bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Hays, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-15 record this season.

Pieper has already played their next game, a 62-50 victory against MacArthur on the 14th. Hays does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
