Volleyball Recap: Amboy Gets the Win

Amboy lost to Hinckley-Big Rock back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Clippers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Royals.

While Amboy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Kreiser, who had 23 assists and three aces. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.

Kreiser wasn't the only good servers: Amboy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive contests.

Amboy's victory bumped their record up to 8-18-4. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-16.

Looking ahead, Amboy will square off against Parkview Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hinckley-Big Rock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
