Softball Recap: Wheeler Takes a Loss

Wheeler fell victim to East Union and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the East Union Urchins. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Urchins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Wheeler now has a losing record of 3-4. As for East Union, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Wheeler will challenge Amory at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for East Union, they are taking a road trip to take on Nettleton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Nettleton has won four straight at home, while East Union won 14 straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
