West Middlesex is a perfect 5-0 against Rocky Grove since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Big Reds will head out to take on the Orioles at 4:00 p.m. West Middlesex is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

West Middlesex took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Reynolds as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The Big Reds haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Harper Nickel and Kaylee Long made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Nickel pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Long pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Nickel went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Long went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Nickel has hit this season.

In other batting news, Allison Blanton was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Robich, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Rocky Grove earned an 8-3 victory over Franklin on Friday.

West Middlesex's record is now 6-8. As for Rocky Grove, their record now sits at 5-7.

West Middlesex was able to grind out a solid win over Rocky Grove in their previous matchup back in May of 2018, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Reds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
