McCall-Donnelly scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to the Lewiston Bengals. While losing is never fun, the Vandals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Bengals are ranked sixth).

McCall-Donnelly's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Lewiston, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

McCall-Donnelly will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Payette at 7:30 p.m. on January 16, 2025. As for Lewiston, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 70-38 win against Weiser on the 21st.
