It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wasatch had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Hillcrest Huskies as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Wasps have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.
The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-23.
Kiley Allen paced Wasatch's offense, picking up nine kills. Allen got some help from Milani Allred and her 16 assists. Annie Cronauer controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Hillcrest's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kelly Thai, who had 15 assists and three aces, and Imani Flores, who had eight digs.
