Waubonsie Valley extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 7-5 in the process. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Metea Valley Mustangs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 16-6 win on Tuesday.

As for Metea Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

For Metea Valley's part, they got a good showing from Tyler Shafer, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. That one hit allowed gave Shafer a new career-low.
