Newnan is 6-1 against Northgate since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Newnan Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northgate Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Newnan took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Creekside as Newnan made off with a 70-45 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Seminoles are ranked 445th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Northgate beat Temple 64-56 on Saturday.

Newnan's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Northgate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Newnan didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Northgate in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Will Newnan repeat their success, or does Northgate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
