Basketball Game Preview: Floyd County Buffaloes vs. Franklin County Eagles

The Floyd County Buffaloes and the Franklin County Eagles will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Floyd County might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 56-54 to Pulaski County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin County). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over Liberty on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

The victory got Franklin County back to even at 2-2. As for Floyd County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Floyd County beat Franklin County 47-39 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Do the Buffaloes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
