Soccer Game Preview: Waverly Central vs. Huntingdon

The Waverly Central Tigers will square off against the Huntingdon Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Huntingdon will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Waverly Central extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Tigers never let East Robertson get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Waverly Central's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Soledad Batchelder, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Huntingdon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lexington on Monday, sneaking past 2-1.
