Softball Recap: Fremont's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Fremont dropped their record down to 8-12 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the West Jordan Jaguars by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Silverwolves have suffered since March 21st.

Cara Henrie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Saige Steele, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

As for West Jordan, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.

On West Jordan's side, Arianna Fjeldsted was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Andrea Tagovailoa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will square off against Davis at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Darts will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Silverwolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Jordan, they will take on Hunter at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
