Vista PEAK Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ava Eltzroth, who had 32 assists, and Emily Peterson, who had 16 kills, seven digs, and one block. Peterson is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Northfield and Denver South faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. The Nighthawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ravens.
The win didn't come easy: Denver South scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21.
Vista PEAK Prep's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Northfield, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
