Guerin Catholic had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the McCutcheon Mavericks 30-13 on Friday. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Quentin Klee had an outrageously good game as he threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. A healthy portion of Klee's aerial production (102 yards to be exact) went to Aidan Horn.

McCutcheon's loss came despite strong showings from Tyler Brigham and Landon Vandergoltz. Brigham rushed for 66 yards and one score, while Vandergoltz rushed for 84 yards on only nine carries.
Guerin Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-0 defeat against Pendleton Heights on the 29th. As for McCutcheon, they have also already played their next game, a 31-6 victory against West Lafayette on the 29th.
