Recap: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Tallmadge Blue Devils
The Roosevelt Rough Riders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 52-43 to Tallmadge. Roosevelt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tallmadge apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Roosevelt lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grant Leslie. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leslie has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaden Dennison, who scored ten points.
Roosevelt has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Tallmadge, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will face off against Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Tallmadge, they will head out on the road to square off against North Royalton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Royalton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
