Basketball Game Preview: Narragansett Mariners vs. Cranston West Falcons

The Narragansett Mariners will square off against the Cranston West Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Narragansett is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Rogers just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-39 loss to the Vikings. The matchup marked the Mariners' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cranston West entered their tilt with Woonsocket on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They rang in the new year with a 55-47 win over the Villa Novans. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly eight points.

Narragansett's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Cranston West, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
