Basketball Game Preview: Broomfield Eagles vs. Niwot Cougars

The Broomfield Eagles will square off against the Niwot Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Broomfield's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Niwot has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, Broomfield strolled past Erie with points to spare, taking the game 61-42.

Meanwhile, Niwot ended up a good deal behind Mead on Friday and lost 68-53. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Mavericks are ranked 60th).

Niwot's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Broomfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Broomfield, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-44 loss to Niwot when the teams last played back in December of 2014.
