After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences, Hollywood was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Belmont Sentinels with a sharp 18-3 win. The Sheiks have beaten the Sentinels the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Sentinels has come to flipping the script.

Celeste Huante and Bianca Lat did most of the damage at the plate: Huante fired off two home runs while going 2-for-2, while Lat fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Eleiyah Layton, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double.

Hollywood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .857. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

The victory got Hollywood back to even at 1-1. As for Belmont, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Hollywood will be playing at home against Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Belmont, they will head out on the road to take on Robert F. Kennedy Community at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Robert F. Kennedy Community's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
