Softball Game Preview: Bismarck Lions vs. Fouke Panthers

Bismarck is 0-9 against Fouke since March of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Lions will take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Bismarck's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

Bismarck barely beat Prescott the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Curley Wolves with a sharp 14-1 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Curley Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Ruthie Bell was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Olivia House was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Bismarck always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prescott only posted an OBP of .391.

Meanwhile, Fouke fell victim to Smackover and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckaroos. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Buckaroos: they've now lost six in a row.

Bismarck's record is now 11-8. As for Fouke, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Bismarck might still be hurting after the 10-1 defeat they got from Fouke in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
