Volleyball Recap: Woburn Memorial Takes a Loss

Woburn Memorial was the 3-2 winner over Marblehead when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tanners took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Magicians on Friday.

The final score came out to 25-11, 21-25, 25-18, 25-11.

Sarah Mullally paced Woburn Memorial's offense, picking up six kills. Mullally got some help from Juliana Novello and her 13 assists. Lauren Snyder and Ava Scalesse kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Sydney Faris went supernova For Marblehead., getting 17 digs and two aces. Faris has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last 13 times she's played.

Woburn Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Marblehead, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Woburn Memorial has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Reading Memorial on the 29th. As for Marblehead, they will head out on the road to face off against Masconomet Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
