Basketball Recap: Leroy-Ostrander's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

LeRoy-Ostrander extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Camden Hungerholt. The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals took down the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics 87-69 on Monday thanks in part to Hungerholt, who posted 37 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of LeRoy-Ostrander's points.

Reid Hungerholt was another key player, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

LeRoy-Ostrander pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points per game. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals duke it out with the Medford Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. LeRoy-Ostrander is facing Medford at the right time seeing as Medford is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they will head out to challenge Southland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
