Baseball Recap: Halifax Academy Starts off Right with Win over Ridgecroft

Halifax Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Everything went their way against the Ridgecroft Rams as the Halifax Academy Vikings made off with a 14-3 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

William Hudomint was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cournoyer, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one double.

Halifax Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halifax Academy will challenge Arendell Parrott Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridgecroft, they will take on Crossroads Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 10th.
