Basketball Game Preview: McCollum Cowboys vs. South San Antonio Bobcats

The McCollum Cowboys will face off against the South San Antonio Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McCollum will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

McCollum is returning to their home court after beating Southside on theirs, despite the fact Southside has dominated at home this season. McCollum walked away with a 45-34 victory over Southside on Friday. The 45-point effort marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, South San Antonio strolled past Southwest Legacy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

McCollum is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. As for South San Antonio, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.

Everything came up roses for McCollum against South San Antonio in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 76-40 victory. Does McCollum have another victory up their sleeve, or will South San Antonio turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
