Volleyball Recap: Stafford Comes Up Short

Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Stafford and Fort Bend Hightower will both be playing Nimitz the next time they take the court. The Spartans will host the Cougars at 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hurricanes will play them later in the day, at 4:20 p.m.
