The Huss Huskies and the Robinson Bulldogs will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huss is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season.
Huss is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against A.C. Reynolds by a score of 54-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.
Huss' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaleila Littlejohn led the charge by putting up 14 points along with six boards and three steals. Littlejohn has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Brooklyn Swann was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Huss was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 16-2 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Robinson entered their tilt with Hibriten on Friday with 16 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 17. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Panthers.
Robinson's win came from a few key players Huss will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Camri Hobbs, who posted 23 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Makiyah Gray, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.
Robinson pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for Huss, their record is now 18-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Huss has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 38.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Robinson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Huss didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Robinson when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Huss since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
