Softball Game Preview: Attleboro Bombardiers vs. Medfield Warriors

The Attleboro Bombardiers will venture away from home to square off against the Medfield Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Medfield took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Attleboro, who comes in off a win.

Attleboro is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over Milford on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bombardiers in their matchups with the Scarlet Hawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Medfield lost 16-3 to Millis on Wednesday.

Medfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tess Baacke, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Avery Razza also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Medfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Attleboro, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Attleboro's way against Medfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Attleboro made off with a 14-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombardiers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
