            Softball Recap: Piscataway Chiefs vs. Middlesex Bluejays        
        
		
        
        
            Piscataway was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They took  a  12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middlesex Bluejays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  17-2  on April 2nd.

  Julianna Mena was cooking despite her team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double. She has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last five times she's  played.  Natalia Young was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Piscataway's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Middlesex, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-5.
 Coming up, Piscataway will square off against Edison at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Middlesex, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Metuchen  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
