Basketball Game Preview: Triad Cardinals vs. West Liberty-Salem Tigers

Triad is 0-10 against West Liberty-Salem since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Triad Cardinals duke it out with the West Liberty-Salem Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

Triad is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Tuesday. They fell 39-29 to Elgin.

Meanwhile, West Liberty-Salem came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Greenon with a 51-47 victory on Tuesday.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for West Liberty-Salem, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Triad took a serious blow against West Liberty-Salem when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 61-18. Can Triad avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
