Preview: Hobbton Wildcats vs. Northampton County Jaguars

Hobbton has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Northampton County Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hobbton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.

Hobbton pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against North Duplin, falling 63-35. Hobbton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Despite the loss, Hobbton had strong showings from Daniel Aguilar, who rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and Ashawd Wynn, who picked up 267 receiving yards and a touchdown. Wynn is on a roll when it comes to receiving yards, as he's now posted 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Weeks, who threw for 320 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, Northampton County can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They didn't even let Weldon onto the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Northampton County.

Northampton County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was De'Marjay Lassiter out in front who gained 70 total yards and a touchdown. A?trielle Barnes was another key contributor, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown.

North Duplin's victory bumped their season record to 8-2 while Hobbton's loss dropped theirs to 5-5.
