West Ranch moved up to 353 from 385 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Foothill. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of a 49-6 win over the Wildcats.
Hart extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating West Ranch, 49-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Canyon's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cade Apsay threw for 241 and four touchdowns and Drew Wolitarsky had 149 yards receiving. On the ground Myron McAfee chipped in 172 yards. Brenden Stach helped Canyon's passing attack out by catching three balls for 49 yards.
The Cowboys' Apsay and Wolitarsky have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Apsay has thrown for 1830 yards this season, while Wolitarsky, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 48 catches for 712 yards. Golden Valley's Leon Jacobs leads the league in rushing yards with 666.
Entering into this week's contest against Saugus, Apsay is short just 170 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in Foothill this week will be when the Centurions take on Rich Gutierrez's team. Saugus is currently in fifth, while the Cowboys are in second.
Hart led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Sean O'Brien's team.
