Preview: Carbon Dinos vs. Canyon View Falcons
Carbon is 8-1 against Canyon View since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Carbon Dinos will be playing at home against the Canyon View Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Carbon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Carbon pushed their score all the way to 61, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Emery by a score of 63-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (58), Carbon still had to take the loss.
Despite their loss, Carbon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Madison Orth, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Orth is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amiah Timothy, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Canyon View strolled past Delta with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-37.
Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Canyon View, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Carbon beat Canyon View 66-53 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Carbon repeat their success, or does Canyon View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
