Recap: Groesbeck Goats vs. Teague Lions
The Groesbeck Goats entered their tilt with the Teague Lions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Groesbeck made off with a 38-37 win over Teague. That's two games straight that Groesbeck has won by exactly a single point.
Teague lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being NICK BARRENTINE, who scored 15 points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Joshua Owens, who scored eight points.
Groesbeck's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17. As for Teague, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Groesbeck will head out on the road to challenge Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Teague, they will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 354 points over their last five games.
