KIPP Esperanza has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They came up short against The Nueva School Mavericks on Friday, falling 8-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Joseph Garcia, who's now up to two this season.

KIPP Esperanza's loss dropped their record down to 0-6-2. As for The Nueva School, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing El Primero the next time they take the pitch. KIPP Esperanza will host El Primero at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while The Nueva School will host them at 3:30 p.m. on January 29th.
