Aptos has gone a perfect 10-0 against Harbor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mariners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Aptos has six straight wins, Harbor has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Aptos had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Santa Cruz on Tuesday. The Mariners blew past the Cardinals 12-4. The Mariners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Mya Najera-White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, Nova Neu and Gwen Vaca did most of the damage at the plate: Neu went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Vaca went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most RBI Neu has posted since back in April of 2025. Emma Burgueno was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Aptos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Harbor came up short against San Lorenzo Valley on Tuesday, falling 15-4. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly 11 runs.
Addysin Schaefer was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Williams-Zamora, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.
Aptos' victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Harbor's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Aptos hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .385. It's a different story for Harbor, though, as they've only averaged .236. Will they be able to contain Aptos' hitters?
Aptos got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Harbor by a conclusive 13-0 score. Do the Mariners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
