Baseball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

After flying high against Okeene last Thursday, Cherokee came back down to earth. The Chiefs came up short against the Seiling Wildcats on Monday, falling 15-3. The Chiefs haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Seiling, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cherokee will challenge Carnegie at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seiling, they will venture away from home to face off against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Terriers at the right time seeing as the Terriers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
