After only eight points in their last game, Coleman made sure to put some points up on the board against Northland Pines on Friday. The Cougars claimed a resounding 44-7 victory over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Coleman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kolton Peters out in front who rushed for 166 yards on only 12 carries. Cole Berth also helped with three scores in total.

Coleman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Nowak and Peters.

Coleman pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.3 points on average over those games. As for Northland Pines, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
