Volleyball Recap: West Bridgewater Takes a Loss

After flying high against Seekonk on Monday, West Bridgewater came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Bourne Canalmen on Wednesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Canalmen recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

West Bridgewater started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.

Avery Morrill had an outrageously good game for Bourne as she had 24 digs and two aces. Those 24 digs gave Morrill a new career-high.

West Bridgewater's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Bourne, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

West Bridgewater didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Norton on the 9th. As for Bourne, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Seekonk on the 15th.
